Racking in perfection

Special requirements for tolerances and specifications are required when pallet racking is operated by cranes. Perfection of levelling and positioning are vital for these installations. The cranes are running on a floor mounted rail and stabilised at the top of the mast by a guide rail supported by the structure. The style of pallet loading can be either single, double or multi deep.

Determining specifications

  • Distance from highest point of the floor to the top tie = Crane Height
  • Bottom and top level height
  • Distance between front and opposite pallets – Crane Aisle Width
  • Run Out Design at both ends of the aisle
  • Top rail type and fixation
  • Racking classes:
100: crane operated without fine-positioning system
200: crane operated with fine-positioning system
